Preserved natural spaces

Sète is not only a city by the sea, it also benefits from remarkable natural spaces:

A state-owned forest of 20 ha of pine forest, rich in plant species, some of which are very rare, numerous hiking trails with extraordinary views of the Mediterranean,

The Thau pond, which is a real inland sea, which can be explored by bike.

A 12km long barrier beach, the Lido, mainly composed of old salt pans and vineyards, this sandy strip 500m to 1.5km wide, separates the Mediterranean Sea from the Thau pond.
