Presentation

The Chapelle du Quartier Haut was originally the convent of the Saint-Maur nuns, or Black Nuns, who came to Sète in 1728 to teach the many poor local girls. Deconsecrated, it became the École Pratique de Commerce et d'Industrie, then the Collège Technique, at the beginning of the 20th century.
Before its closure, the former chapel of the Collège Technique was used as a classroom for the students of the college. Owned by the City of Sète, this imposing 18th-century building has recently been refurbished to host exhibitions.

Today, it is a major cultural venue hosting exhibitions throughout the year, right in the heart of the upper quarter.

Free admission.
