The intermunicipal general hospital of the Thau Lagoon is situated on 4 sites: Sète, Agde, Marseillan and Vias. It accounts for 837 beds in a Lagoon of 43,000 habitants during the off season, and more than 120,000 during summertime. Its field of activity extends from Sète up to the East and North municipalities of the Thau Lagoon, and on the West it covers the canton of Agde.

The general hospital (214 beds in Sète) includes the following departments: Emergencies, resuscitation, general-purpose and urologic, orthopaedic and traumatological surgery, of specialities (ENT, OPH, stomat).
