Vic la Gardiole
Presentation
Vic la Gardiole has on the same soil: a massif of hills covered with woods and scrublands, an agricultural plain planted with muscat, a large protected lagoon complex. Finally, bathed by the waters of the Lions Gulf, a barrier beach located only 3 km from the village, offers a beach unspoilt by any construction due to the protection of the site.
The village is a small Languedoc village where the quality of life remains intact. It is built in a "circulade" around its fortified church of Sainte Léocadie from the 12th century, classified as a historical monument in 1920.
Between Mediterranean lagoons and forest massif, the surrounding nature is a subtle mixture of flora and fauna that invites you to stroll along its wild and protected coast, in its pine forest or in its scrubland.
The Lagoons of Vic, Pierres Blanches and Ingril are a source of life, not only as a place to welcome the many species of migratory birds, but also as a breeding ground for the development of typically local plants.
Vic la Gardiole's lido offers exceptional spots for kite-surfing.
