L'ÆNCRE FLOTTANTE - ATELIER VERONIQUE AGOSTINI
Presentation
Born in Sète in 1965, Véronique Agostini has many years’ experience of intaglio printing, and has specialised in relief printing (on wood or linoleum) and the ancestral Japanese art of Suminagashi (floating ink).
A publisher of art books, she founded Editions Les Aresquiers in 2007.
Her designs desire to inhabit the earth; to spread across a sheet of paper, stretch over a lampshade, occupy a cushion or cover a kakemono. In harmony with the object of their desire, the designs mould to the shape of their surroundings to form one seamless body.
Véronique’s unique pieces are all made in her studio: prints, suminagashi (floating ink), kakemonos, lights, lampshades, origami, textile designs and boxes decorated with geometric patterns.
Lights, lampshades and kakemonos can be made to order, in the desired size, colours and designs (chosen from a catalogue).
