Born in Paris, where she studied fine art and decorative arts, Françoise Cruchet swapped Montmartre for Mont Saint-Clair and “the blue of Sète”, in 1976.
Her painting reveal every detail, from trawlers in the harbour to the façades of Pointe Courte.
The lSete's light evoked with a palette knife or gentle watercolour strokes, her palette charms and enthrals.
Painting and the CAPPS
The Cercle des Artistes Plasticiens du Pays Sétois (CAPPS) was founded in 1997 to give artists from the Sète area the opportunity to develop their creativity and exhibit their work across the area.
