Caroline Gossez began making ceramics at the age of 14.
She set up as an independent artist in 1973 in the Cévennes, then worked in the Le Refuge ceramic factory in Nîmes in 1980, as a turner. She went on to study archaeology at Montpellier, then visual arts and art history, before entering teaching, first as a lecturer in visual arts at the Académie de Montpellier, then as a teacher.
After five years in teaching, she resumed her work as a ceramic artist in 2010.
She makes turned, modelled and sculpted black stoneware.
Her studio in Sète is open in July and August, as well as for the open days in early October.
